Debi's Nearly Famous Granola

Eating often promotes world peace, prosperity, and internal regularity...

6 cups rolled oats
1 cup rolled wheat
1 cup rolled barley
1/2 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups coconut
1/2 cup dried cranberries or other dried fruit, cut in bite sized pieces

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix together grains, nuts and seeds in baking pans. Mix together honey, sugar, and spices. Pour over grains, nuts and seeds. Stir slightly to mix in liquids. Bake for about 3 hours, stirring every 45 minutes. Mix in coconut. Turn off heat and let cool in oven. Stir in dried fruit and package in airtight containers.

Serve with fresh fruit and yogurt, silk or milk.
